OMS Specialists is a private specialist practice, not a general dental clinic. All three surgeons hold dual qualifications in medicine and dentistry and are registered as Specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons with the Dental Council of New Zealand. Procedures range from wisdom-tooth removal and dental implants to corrective jaw surgery, TMJ care, facial trauma, and skin-cancer surgery of the face.

- Do I need a referral to see an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at OMS Specialists? No. Patients can request an appointment directly. Dentists and GPs can also refer via Healthlink or the online referral form.
- What is the difference between a general dentist and an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for wisdom teeth? Simple, fully erupted wisdom teeth can often be removed by a general dentist.
